Recycled denim, oil tanned leather, brass notions.

Denim in this case is sewn to a base fabric in multiple layers, cut, and then "brushed" into a chenille like texture. 

What's more earthly and of the mundane, everyday world then denim? Does it root this angel to our world or is it successfully manipulated and transformed into ethereal feathers that wrap around it, clothe it? The creatures of the divine and eternal worlds--human yet not human, outside of earthly gender, but still bodied and sensual--I return to it again and again.
